These two films show two versions of the same dialogue, once between a man and his wife and once between father and daughter. It is morning; both couples are lying restfully in bed. The timeless sequence of questions and answers treads a fine line between naive morning role play (father-daughter) and erotic ritual (man-wife). The identity of the father/husband shifts constantly between the different roles and emotions.
Text and mise-en-scène are inspired by the opening scene from the film “Le mépris” (1963) by Jean-Luc Godard.
